I hate Glare display of MacBook.

MacBook Air is cool, but it's not my cup of tea. (I can't use both main and sub machine.)

DVI to RGB adapter

I need Linux (and Windows XP) so 200 GB faster HDD (7200 rpm)

I need FireWire 800 for Backup, ie cloning (I don't understand TimeMachine)

Difference between 2.6 GHz and 2.5 GHz is marginal

2.5 GHz CPU has 6 MB cache (2.4 GHz has 3)

4 GB memory is essential, but Apples memory is far too expensive

I stand behind my diary posts about the MacBook Air though. It’s a great machine for light-duty users, frequent fliers and Mac-daddy executives, but for resource intensive users I recommend a top-end MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM.

Is the paltry 2GB of RAM, 1.6GHz processor and 80GB hard drive inside the MacBook Air planned obsolescence? I can’t help but think so.
